Cowboy poet Rex Rideout will perform today at noon in the Arthur Lakes library (1400 Illinois St – map) on the School of Mines campus.  His performance is free and open to the public, and the audience is encouraged to bring their lunch!

Speaking of cowboy poetry, the next Golden Beer Talk will be on May 13th and will feature Cowboy Poet Keith Rounds.

Tonight at 6, the Railroad Museum will continue their popular Colorado Rails and Cocktails series with a talk about The Lonely Pyramid on Sherman Hill, which is a 60 foot high monument on the highest point of the Union Pacific railroad.  Transcontinental railway history buffs will love this.  Tickets include two beverages of your choice–beer, wine, or soda.  $12 for members, $15 for non-members.  You must be 21 or older to attend.
