The first Farmers Market of the year takes place this morning from 8 to 1.  Come reunite with your favorite food vendors and meet some new ones.  The Chamber has reconfigured the space (and absorbed some new space) and we’re going from 46 vendors last year to 68 this year!  As always, there will be free carriage rides.  The Farmers Market takes place at 10th and Illinois Streets, just west of the library.

If you live in District 1 (Councilor Saoirse Charis-Graves), you can have “Coffee with a Councilor” this morning from 9-10 at Read, Write, & Brew.  Ward 1 (Marcia Claxton) and Ward 2 (Joe Behm) councilors, and Mayor Marjorie Sloan will also be on hand.  This is a good opportunity to learn what council is working on, and to express your opinions and concerns to your representatives.
