St. Patrick’s Day, the Library, and Entrepreneurship

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Mountain Toad Brewing is celebrating with the release of a mint chocolate stout, $3.50 pints of Ryrish Stout, and corned beef and cabbage from Texorado BBQ.  Golden City Brewery has Tin Star Smokehouse serving corned beef and other delights and has live music by Mulligan Stew.

If you’re not sure how to borrow ebooks from the library, stop by between 5:30 and 7:30 this evening for a drop-in help session.  The Golden Library is located at 1019 10th St.

The Library Board will host a community meeting at the Golden Library tomorrow afternoon from 2-3.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on library services, solicit input from library patrons and other Jefferson County residents and respond to community concerns.

The Golden Library’s Tuesday Night Book Group will discuss Death Comes to Pemberley tomorrow night from 6-7:30 at the library.  Well-known mystery writer P.D. James sets this book in Jane Austen’s world–Mr. Darcy’s estate from Pride and Prejudice.

Tomorrow night, aspiring entrepreneurs might want to attend the ongoing series known as the Jeffco Innovators’ Workshop.  This is a new business resource targeted particularly to assist inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs, hosted by the City of Golden with support from the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation. The Workshop offers advice, inspiration, and support to and seeks to assist those companies that wish to introduce a new product to the market.  This event takes place at the Mountaineering Center, 710 10th St., from 6:30-9PM.
