Quilts & Bikes

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum’s annual garage sale is today from 9-2, in the alley behind the museum.

Quilters and crafters wait all year for RMQM’s big annual sale. Score great bargains on fabric, sewing and quilting supplies, patterns, arts and craft supplies, notions, kits, and what-have-you. Pay just pennies on the dollar for fabric, notions, quilting and crafting supplies, yarn, thread, patterns, vintage items, home dec stuff, and more! Trust us—this will be a treasure hunter’s paradise! You won’t just see yards of fabric. You will see miles of fabric! We have exactly what you’ve been looking for—you just may not know it yet. Best of all, your purchase benefits RMQM and helps support the exhibits and programs you enjoy.

The City is offering a Kid’s Bike Rodeo from 10-2 in the Coors Tek Parking Lot, 10th & Jackson.

The event is completely free. Children do not need to bring bikes, but should bring helmets if they have them. Bicycle Colorado will assist with proper helmet fitting for children. This is a great opportunity for children to learn safety techniques. Bike rodeos are recommended for children ages 4 to 13. Bicycles and striders will be provided. Children can come anytime and go through the course as many times as they like!

Get ready for tomorrow, when the City is hosting a Health & Fitness Expo in Parfet Park from 8-4, and the USA Pro Challenge bike race will go screaming through town shortly afternoon, and again about and hour later.  Check the calendar for details now, and I’ll write about it tomorrow.

The Farmers Market runs this morning from 8-1 in the parking lot next to the library, 10th & Illinois.  Thanks to the Golden Chamber for hosting it!
