There’s a ton of stuff going on in town today.  Breakfast with Santa (9 a.m. at the Buffalo Rose) is hugely popular with families.  There will be lots of food, toys, and entertainment.  The Olde Golden Christmas parade starts at 11, on Washington Avenue.  The School of Magic Strings will be performing at Foothills Art Center at noon.  Foothills is also offering free admission all day, with special children’s activities from 11 to 2.  The Golden Tones will be playing Big Band music at the Golden History Center at 1.

The stores also have entertainment throughout the day.  Santa Claus will be at Avenue Gifts from 12 till 3.  Four local authors will be signing their books at Goozell Yogurt from 12:30-2.  The School of Magic Strings will play in Baby Doe’s from 1-1:45.  Windy Saddle is hosting a charity cakewalk from 5-7, with live music.  Spirits in the Wind is hosting artist Tammy Bality, so she can chat with people about her Birds of Prey collection of sculptures.

There will be free carriage rides from noon till 4, and Newfoundland dog cart rides from noon till 3.

Elsewhere in town, Santa is at Heritage Square from noon till 4.  The wedding chapel is lavishly decorated for Christmas, and a photographer will be on hand to get those perfect Santa pictures.

The Railroad Museum is running their Santa Claus special train today.  It’s an enchanting place to meet Santa–so Golden!  Free hot chocolate and candy canes will be available.

The Golden Concert Choir will give their Christmas concert at Golden High School at 4..
