Our month-long celebration of “Olde Golden Christmas” begins this Friday, with the Candlelight Walk.   This is a fun and lovely way to start the season, and we’ll provide more details later in the week.

Every Saturday before Christmas (Dec. 1, 8, 15, and 22) will include a parade at 11 on Washington Avenue.   Every Saturday and Sunday will be full of special events throughout downtown, including free carriage rides, Newfoundland Dog cart rides, and lots of music.

The Golden Concert Choir will present its holiday concert on Saturday night December 1st.  The Jefferson Symphony holds its concert on Sunday afternoon December 2nd.

We will celebrate First Friday on December 7th.  Breakfast with Santa is Saturday December 8th.

The downtown merchants have special entertainment scheduled throughout December, and we’ll detail those as they approach.

We have two holiday plays running this month:  Greetings at Miners Alley Playhouse, and Our Christmas Carol at Heritage Square Music Hall.

Make sure you don’t miss any of the events.  Subscribe to our daily “What’s Happening in Golden” email!
