Lunch on the Creek, Dinner on the Avenue, A Classic Film, and a New Store

The Golden History Center (923 10th St.) is expecting a food truck today.  Sandy Bear Shack sells hot dogs, brats, Philly cheesesteaks, Ruebens, and more.  The History Center has a wonderful patio that overlooks the creek and the mountains.  Have lunch there today!

Foothills Art Center is showing a film tonight, in association with their fabulous Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit.  Be there at 5:30 to enjoy the classic film, Moulin Rouge.  Tickets are only $2!

We have a new store downtown, called the Lucky Star Ranch.  They’re celebrating their grand opening today with a special Old Pawn & Estate Jewelry Trunk Show.  The Chamber will welcome this new business to town with a ribbon-cutting at 5:15.

The Clothes Mine has a new owner, Cindy Haswell.  Come and meet the owner of this fine ladies’ consignment store as she holds an open house from 4-6.  The Chamber will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30.

We’re having a Street Fair downtown tonight from 5-9.  Local restaurants will be serving “tastes” and beer will be available for those 21 and older.  Several of the stores will be running specials and the restaurants are offering food specials and/or live music.  There will also be live music on the Avenue, and an aerial dance team (featured in yesterday’s Golden Transcript).   Check the Chamber’s flyer for the complete list of Street Fair goings-on!

Spirits in the Wind Gallery has a special show of Golden art tonight from 5-9, and local favorite Ed Slack will be in the gallery, painting one of his Golden scenes.  If you’re a Golden fan, you won’t want to miss that!
