This weekend, the School of Mines will be hosting a 2-day symposium, “Ice Worlds and their Fossils.”  The Ice Age, Earth’s most recent global cold snap, ended 12,000 years ago. But did you know that glacial climates have occurred throughout Earth’s history? Discover how ice ages shape evolution with presentations from top scientists. Take in workshops on ice age mammals, glaciers, and artist-scientist collaborations that bring ancient worlds to life. Enjoy exhibits and a gallery of natural science themed art by local artists. Proceeds benefit research and scholarships in paleontology. $85/both days $50/day $15/day for students.  Learn more….
