Tonight is First Friday.  Many of the stores downtown will stay open late and offer specials, and of course, the restaurants always welcome Friday night traffic!  There will be free carriage rides, as usual.

The Windy Saddle will have live music: Willie Bean and the Bluegrass Rangers will play from 6:30-9. Golden Moon Speakeasy will also have live music: Adam Bodine from 7-10.  The Ace Hi Tavern will have karaoke starting at 9.  The Buffalo Rose hosts Lazy Lightning, a Grateful Dead cover band, starting at 9:30.

Our new ceramics painting studio, Golden Kiln, will have free pizza for their painters tonight!

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum will have the opening night reception for their new exhibit, Quilting Past, Present, and Future: Front Range Contemporary Quilters.  Enjoy free admission during the reception!

The American Legion (500 9th St.) is having a catfish fry tonight.  The cost is only $7 and everyone is welcome.  Call 303-279-6200 for more information.

This is the last weekend to see the current play at Miners Alley Playhouse, Road to Mecca.  This play has received rave reviews and many standing ovations.  You have just three opportunities to see why:  tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30, and Sunday afternoon at 2.
