There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony tonight at 5:30 for the new Public Works and Economic Development building.  This will be a good opportunity to tour the new building, which was designed to be energy-efficient and LEED-certified.  The building is located at the west end of Lions Park.

Tonight’s City Council agenda includes relatively non-controversial topics.  The most interesting part of the meeting is likely to be the Public Comment section and the Councilors’ responses.  Some concern has arisen over the heavy usage of the Clear Creek corridor through downtown of late, with some complaints of parking problems, trash left behind, loud music, alcohol consumption, and off-leash dogs.  Council is inviting citizens to comment on the situation and offer suggestions.  The meeting will be broadcast at 7 pm on cable channel 8 and streamed live through the city’s website.
