City Council and a Preview of Friday Events

City Council meets tonight at 6.  The first agenda item is to go immediately into executive session (no public allowed in the room) to discuss some litigation with Coors.  When the public meeting resumes, they will discuss a change to the code regarding water works permits, an increase in the service fee for trash collection & recycling, and a proposal by the Public Works Department that our diagonal parking spots should be converted to back-in-only diagonal parking.  In the study session after the business meeting, they will interview candidates for the Public Art Commission, discuss rules regarding marijuana sales, and consider selling some city-owned property.  Learn more or watch it through the city website.

Tomorrow at 2, the Golden Library will host a program for teens about tattooing.  A local tattoo artist will discuss the cultural significance, history and science of tattooing.  Afterwards, participants can design their own temporary tattoos.

Tomorrow night, Miners Alley is opening a new comedy called Wonder of the World.  All tickets are $19.
