On December 30, 2021, we witnessed the Marshall Fire burn across 6100 acres, destroying 1084 structures and resulting in two fatalities. A wildland fire can happen nearly any day in any neighborhood. The weather forecast is looking good for this weekend! It will be a great time to prepare your property in case a wildfire happens in your neighborhood! This Saturday, May 4, 2024, is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day commonly shortened to Wildfire Prep Day. This national campaign encourages people and organizations everywhere to come together on a single day to take action to raise awareness and reduce wildfire risks. This week we will provide tips about what you can do on and around your home to help protect against the threat of wildfires.
