William F. Cody was born on February 26, 1846, so we’re celebrating his birthday this weekend with TWO parties. Monarch Productions (the ones who perform the Wild West Show at Buffalo Bill Days in July) are hosting a party today from 11AM-11PM at the Rock Rest Lodge.
Get on your Old West best and help celebrate with 100s of reenactors, William Frederick “Buffalo Bill” Cody’s birthday. No admission. No contest fees. After all, why pay to party? Take a shot in one of the free “outfits” contest for a chance of winning cash and/or a fabulous prize from top artists and photographers. National best-selling author, Reid Lance Rosenthal, will be there selling and signing his books along with Colorado authors. Live music. Free cake. Door prizes. Surprises. Meet national author Reid Lance Rosenthal and Colorado authors. This is the Rocky Mountain region’s biggest, most-popular Cody birthday celebration party. Meet old friends. Make new friends. All are welcomed. Put on your 1800s best and be ready to party! For more information contact David or Lee at monarchproductions@earthlink.net.
The Buffalo Bill Museum & Gravesite will have their own party tomorrow from noon-4PM. Details to follow tomorrow…it sounds both fun and interesting!
The Jefferson Symphony is performing their winter concert tomorrow at 4PM. Since the Green Center is closed this year for reconstruction, the Symphony is performing at the Wheat Ridge United Mthodist Church. The Symphony and the City of Golden are offering a FREE shuttle for Golden seniors who want to attend the concert. The shuttle will leave at 3PM from the Golden Visitors Center at 10th and Washington.
This is the final day for the Colorado Environmental Film Festival, and I hope you get a chance to attend one or more of the sessions. The schedule is available at ceff.net/2018-schedule and the films are described at at www.ceff.net/films-2018.
