CSM Homecoming ParadePlein Air Painters Along Clear Creek

Yesterday
Dave Powers got some nice pictures of yesterday’s CSM Homecoming Parade, then strolled along Clear Creek, where the artists were out in force!  Today should be another beautiful day.  Stop by the Community Center to see the paintings produced throughout Jefferson County during this week’s In Plein Site program.  The paintings will be on display today from 9:30AM-4PM.

Today
Renowned quilt historian Jeananne Wright will be at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum this afternoon at 2PM, discussing “Humble Quilts” and displaying some of her personal collection.  These “Sunday at the Museum” lectures are always interesting, even for non-quilters; there’s so much history involved in quilting!  The cost is $10 for non-members and free for members.  Refreshments will be served.  You’re running out of time to see the current exhibit, “New York Beauties.”  It closes on October 25th.

Civic Foundation Grants
If you are involved in a Golden-based non-profit organization, you should note that the deadline for applying for a grant from the Golden Civic Foundation is this Friday, October 14th.  Learn more and apply through their website.
