Student help and helping a student

April 14, 2016

The Helluva Service Event has been rescheduled from this Sunday, the 17th, to the following Sunday, the 24th, due to the weather forecast, which predicts snow for Sunday.

You still have time to request help from some Mines students!  They have 200 volunteers signed up, and only 15 projects so far.  Do you need some help with yard work?  Fence painting?  Cleaning out your attic?  School of Mines students are ready to help!  They want to show their appreciation to the Golden community–it would be churlish not to accept their offer.

Golden Community Pride Days is fast approaching–April 30th and May 1st.  Here’s a chance to have help gathering up the stuff you plan to get rid of!

Visit helluvaserviceevent.wordpress.com for more information & to sign up.  (In fact, here’s the direct link to the sign up form.)

Take 2 seconds to help a Golden student!

Vote for Tanner!

Golden’s own Tanner McAdoo has been nominated for ASPIRE ATHLETE of the WEEK! Tanner is a Senior at GHS and a fine example of an accomplished student-athlete and community member. Today is the LAST DAY to vote for Tanner and he needs every single vote to win. You can vote through multiple browsers or devices if you have them.  This really is a case where you’re encouraged to vote early and often!
