Today is the LAST Farmers Market of the year. Stock up–it’ll be many months until it re-opens! The market has done really well this year. It has brought about half a million dollars of revenue into the Golden community, as well as tremendous enjoyment and lots of delicious, fresh food. Looking forward to next year!
The last official Golden Super Cruise is also scheduled for today. Their website says they will not cancel. If the weather is nice on the first Saturday in November, they may hold an “unofficial” cruise that day.
Don’t forget the Golden Solar Homes tour today from 9-4. The cost is only $5, and tickets are available at either the Mountaineering Center or at the NREL Visitors Center, which is holding a special open house today in honor of the Solar Homes Tour!
The City’s “Safety and Preparedness Day” has been cancelled because of the cold weather.
Councilor Charis-Graves will host “Coffee with a Councilor” at Bean Fosters. She’ll be prepared to discuss traffic issues around Golden, including the threatened Northwest Parkway, so come prepared with any questions you may have on that topic. She’ll also discuss voter registration and ballot issues.
