I am deeply sorry to report that my great friend and Goldentoday’s photographer, Dave Powers, has died. I enjoyed many meals and many photo shoots around Golden in his company. Dave specialized in “people shots.” He enjoyed people; they liked him in turn, and that good feeling is reflected in the happiness that he captured in his subjects. He left me with a collection of hundreds of photos of Golden and its residents. I will continue to use them, and think of him, for many years to come.
