Do you know of a group or individual who has made extraordinary contributions to Golden civic life? Please nominate it/him/her for the Mayors’ Awards of Excellence. The Mayor’s Awards will be celebrated on Tuesday October 3rd at 6:30PM at the Green Center. Nominations are due by 5PM on Friday, September 15th.

Today
Dinosaur Ridge is hosting TriceraTOTs this morning from 10-11AM. People will be playing games of Scrabble at the library from noon-4PM…and you’re invited! Mines students are offering homework help to all comers from 4-6 at the library (free!).
Tonight at the Golden Community Center, Dr. Michele Koons, curator of archaeology at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, will lead a talk about Magic Mountain’s pre-history and history based on the archaeological work conducted by DMNS.
Michele will detail some of her findings such as how the early settlers lived, what they lived in, and perhaps what they ate. If we are lucky, Dr. Koons will even bring some artifacts taken from the site for attendee viewing.
This event is free for Golden History Museum members or Denver Museum of Nature and Science members, and $5 for others. Learn more….
