The Candlelight Walk is this Friday night, starting at 6 in front of Foothills Art Center. This is the official kick-off to Olde Golden Christmas, and probably the prettiest night of the year in Golden. The crowd will gather at 15th and Washington. Many will bring candles or lanterns from home; others will buy them from Chamber members. The group will slowly walk down the hill, through downtown, until they reach the Visitors Center, at 10th and Washington. There, the Mayor will flip a giant light switch, and all the trees along the Creek and in the parks will illuminate.
After that, there will be activities spread throughout downtown, including dance performances, live music, free museum admissions, and lots of free refreshments. Make sure you don’t miss any of it – check the Holiday Events Calendar for all the details!
