The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is opening a new exhibit today: Surface Explorations. Billings, Montana quilt artist Cynthia St. Charles won first prize in the RMQM 2012 Evolutions juried quilt challenge. Her solo exhibition features art quilts made with her own hand-dyed, discharged, hand-painted and hand-stamped fabrics.
The Museum also has a number of interesting classes coming up over the next several weeks. For adults, they have Free Motion Quilting, Designer Jewelry Knockoffs, and Feather Your Quilts. For kids, their Saturday morning classes include Quilted Postcards to Make and Mail (2/9), Needlecases and Pincushions (3/9), and Mom and Me Crazy Quilts (4/13, 5/11).
