What to do with a beautiful fall day

Today’s forecast says “Times of Clouds and Sun,” which sound pretty non-committal, but overall it should be another beautiful fall day.  The Lookout Mountain Nature Center is hosting “Halloween Tales & Trails” this afternoon from 1-4 and this evening from 5-8.  Their guided hikes are already booked solid, but you can still enjoy their crafts, games, storytellers, special exhibits, and meet some visiting live animals.  And of course, you can always walk the trails without a guide.

This is the final day for the Beautiful Junk Sale at the Fairgrounds, and this is the final weekend for the current play at Miners Alley–Dylan Went Electric.  The Amusement Park, Alpine Slide, Go Karts, and other attractions are open weekends at Heritage Square, and BooTown (non-scary) and Spider Mansion (scary) are also open.

Clear Creek History Park will be teaching a How to Build Your Own Scarecrow class tomorrow.  If you’re interested, call 303-278-3557 today to see if they still have openings.

The Jefferson Symphony will play its first concert of the season tomorrow at the Green Center.
