Western Week, Factfulness, Conifers, and Takács Quartet

In anticipation of next weekend’s Colorado Cowboy Gathering, the City has declared this to be Western Week in Golden. The first event is tonight’s performance by Grant McIntosh at Smiley’s. Join them from 7-10 this evening.


The next Town and Gown Book Club is scheduled for February 11th at noon. They’ll be reading Factfulness: 10 Reasons We’re Wrong about the World – and Why Things are Getting Better. Golden City Councilor Jim Dale will lead a lunch discussion about the book. The meeting will occur in the Boettcher Room of Lakes Library. It includes a free lunch if you register by February 1st with (gevans@mines.edu) and commit to read the book. Join them!
