Golden’s cultural organizations have a number of things lined up on Saturday and Sunday, so we’re starting our descriptions a day early.
Steve Stevens on his antique big-wheeled bicycle is a familiar site around Golden…so much so that his portrait is currently on display at the Golden History Center as one of fifteen “Legendary” Golden residents. Few of us have had the opportunity to visit the bicycle museum in his house. Steve is holding an open house tomorrow from 10:30 – 3:30. In addition to his amazing, museum-quality display of antique bikes, you’ll be able to learn how he turned his 1970s ranch house into an energy creator, using passive solar and insulation. In fact, he now calls his house/museum The Sustainable Museum of Sustainable Transportation.
