Wednesday

You may recall that Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant was lost to a fire in early October.  The remains of the building will be knocked down today.  Here’s the good news:  they plan to rebuild and hope to be back in business by March!

There will be a clinic tonight at 7, at the Mountaineering Center, on “Winter Backpacking Gear, Supplies, and Skills.”  The cost to attend is $10, and the proceeds benefit the Colorado Mountain Club’s Youth Education Program.  Register here.

Since Golden’s city limit is just beyond the King Soopers shopping complex, South Golden Road through Pleasant View is maintained by Jefferson County.  The county plans to improve that road significantly over the next several years by widening the road, adding sidewalks and bike lanes, and making some drainage improvements.  The County is hosting an open house regarding this project tonight from 5-7 at Pleasant View Elementary, 15920 W. 10th Avenue.  More information is available on the County’s website (scroll about halfway down the page).
