TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY:
KINNEY RUN BIRD WALK
On May 8th, the Stewards of Golden Open Space are offering a Kinney Run Bird Walk from 8-10AM. Kinney Run Open Space is a haven for resident and migrating birds and a designated bird hotspot.
- All experience levels welcome on the walk.
- Get to know our many beautiful native birds and hopefully be treated to some spring migrants passing through!
- We will park at the south end of Illinois Street and walk under 6th Ave and up the valley along the Kinney Run trail.
- Bring binoculars, water and dress appropriately for whatever weather we might encounter.
- There are limited spots so sign up early by emailing Stewardsofgolden@gmail.com.
Beginning today and going through May 7th, Golden Fire Department crews will be canvassing neighborhoods, installing FREE smoke alarms. If you are in need of a FREE smoke alarm call 303-953-4780 to request one. For more information about the campaign call 303-215-8886.
