The Golden History Center will give a “Gold Rush Days” walking tour this morning at 10. Visit historic sites along Clear Creek in Golden as well as the downtown historic buildings and Victorian cottages in the historic districts. Historian and storyteller Ed Weising will guide you through Golden’s history and take you inside the historic buildings at the Clear Creek History Park. Members $10; non-members $15. Walking tours leave from the Golden History Center.

On September 9th, they’re offering a tour covering “Courthouse Hill and School of Mines.” Learn about the early industries of Golden, the history of the School of Mines, and Courthouse Hill mansions and the fascinating stories of Adolph Coors and Goosetown. Historian Ed Weising will guide you through some of the buildings on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines and near some of the historic mines in Golden. 10 am to 12 pm; members $10; non-members $15; walking tours leave from the Golden History Center.
