The Golden History Center is offering a walking tour of “Courthouse Hill” (the area near Foothills Art Center) this morning, from 10:30-12:30.  If you’re interested, call the museum to confirm that it’s still on.  It’s listed on their Events page, but tickets are no longer available online.

Columbine Bar Backyard Bluegrass

The Columbine Cafe/Bar at 15630 South Golden Road (map) has been in the same family for 83 years.  They have a great back yard, perfect for live music.  Starting tomorrow night (Thursday, July 14th), they’re going to host a 3-part Backyard Bluegrass Series.  The cost is $10 at the door.

The sounds of fiddles and banjos will fill the summer air at the Columbine Café for this three part bluegrass series  Join us at Golden’s newest live music venue, in one of the best backyard patios around.  Brings a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the summer breeze and some serious pickin’.  Campfire Bluegrass Jam will start after the show.  All levels are welcome.
