Jeffco Open Space is looking for volunteers, and they’re holding a recruitment fair today (2/25) from 4-8 and Saturday (2/27) from 10-2 in their Administration building, 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Suite 100, Golden, CO (map).
From observing wildlife and assisting visitors to bringing history to life, volunteers find many ways to contribute to Jeffco Open Space (JCOS). Learn about all the opportunities and talk with staff members and volunteers about positions that best suit your schedule and interests.
Golden Library is hosting DIY Explorers today from 4-5:30 for grades 6-12. These sessions are geared for kids who like to invent, create, and re-imagine things. Tomorrow (2/26) from 11:15-11:45, they’ll have Wee DIY, for kids aged 3-5. Check the Library’s events page to make sure they still have spots available.
City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They’ll vote to update our municipal code to include the latest versions of the International Building Code, National Electric Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Residential Code, and International Existing Building Code. They’ll make the final decision regarding refinancing some of our debt to get better rates. Finally they will consider a request from the Brunel family to annex their 103 acre property at the southwest corner of Highway 93 and Golden Gate Canyon Road.
