This is Martin Luther King Day, which means that City, County, State, and Federal government offices are closed. No mail delivery, and the Library is closed.


Tomorrow morning at 10, the Railroad Museum will host their popular monthly Director’s Storytime and Craft. Join fellow young train enthusiasts, in collaboration with the Golden Public Library, for a morning of rail stories and make-and-take crafts. Donald Tallman will read Little Puff by Margaret Hillert and Sid Jordan. Recommended ages 4-6 years old. Free for Museum Members and $2 for nonmembers with general admission.


Dinosaur Ridge will begin a series of talks tomorrow morning at 10. Join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge for part one of a talk series meant to orient new volunteers (or anyone interested) in dinosaurs! Wish you knew more about these fantastic beasts that roamed our backyard? This is the series for you! This first talk is about the history of dinosaur paleontology (including the Bone Wars).  Free.


Speaking of Dinosaur Ridge, tomorrow morning (Tuesday at 8AM) is when the Jefferson County Commissioners will decide whether to allow car dealerships to move into the area around Dinosaur Ridge. Learn more….
