For those who just can’t wait until the next Golden Super Cruise, a group of cruise fans will meet this morning at 11 in the Heritage Square parking lot. From there, they will drive east along Colfax. They plan to stop for lunch at either Red Robin or Gunther Toody’s–to be decided in the parking lot at the start of the cruise. If you’re interested, just show up!
The American Legion and the VFW are co-hosting a ride this morning to benefit Signature Wound warriors suffering from traumatic brain injuries. The ride will start at 9:30 at the American Legion post, 1655 Simms St., Lakewood, and conclude at the Golden VFW hall on 10th Street. There will be live music and an all-you-can eat buffet for $5.
The Railroad Museum is teaming with Dinosaur Ridge today to offer a special “Ride the Rails Saturday.” Several 12 foot long Stegosaurus’ will be on hand to great visitors Other dino-related activities will be available, such as sifting for fossils and painting dinosaur tracks. And of course, an antique locomotive will be in service, giving rides around the museum campus. The museum is open from 9-5.
