Bent Gate Mountaineering (1313 Washington Ave.) will host a free program tonight from 6:15-7:15 in which Joe Grant will describe his “Tour de 14ers.”

Join us for a presentation by endurance athlete Joe Grant. Beer will be provided by Oskar Blues Brewery, and a raffle, including gear from BD, Scarpa, and Buff, will benefit the 14ers initiative.

In the summer of 2016, endurance athlete Joe Grant took on the Tour de Fourteeners, a self-powered link up of all of Colorado’s 14,000ft peaks by bike and on foot. Joe started and finished at his home in Gold Hill, Colorado riding 1,100 miles between peaks and running/hiking another 400 miles to scale a total of 57 summits in a month. In his presentation, Joe will share the story of his adventure, covering the highs and the lows, and providing insights into the gear, logistics, and style he used to overcome the challenges of Colorado’s high country.
