EdComm, Beer Talks, and the new city manager

Tough choice tonight:  will you attend an EdComm meeting, or Golden Beer Talks?

The Economic Development Commission meets tonight at 6:30 at the Golden Public Works Building, 1445 10th Street (map).  The agenda isn’t currently up, but should be posted on this page at some point today.

Golden Beer Talks meets at 6:30 at Windy Saddle Café. The beer tonight will come from Mountain Toad Brewery.

John Knight will share stories and provide insights into the world of competitive fly fishing, as he and his nonprofit organization prepare to host the 14th FIPS Mouche World Youth Fly Fishing Championship in Colorado this summer. With the mission of showcasing Colorado’s watershed rivers and lakes, youth from around the world will enjoy our state’s natural beauty and hospitality whilst competing in the waters of the Eagle River, Colorado River, Sylvan Lake and Dillon Reservoir.

City Council has selected several semi-finalists for the City Manager position.  You’ll have the chance to meet the candidates at a reception on Friday June 19th from 4-6 at the Community Center, 1470 10th St.  The names of the candidates will be announced at this Thursday’s City Council meeting.  In the meantime…get the 19th on your calendar!
