Yes, tonight’s the night we’ve all been waiting for: the Olde Golden Christmas Candlelight Walk. If you’ve never participated, you’re in for a treat! We all join together to walk down Washington Avenue with one voice to celebrate the joy of the season while holding light that symbolizes harmony and hope.
If you’re a veteran participant, then you know that following the Walk, there is something for everyone, from music and dance to chestnuts, hot chocolate, cookies, cider and hot mead, along with reindeer, books to browse, and/or a quiet stroll along the brilliantly-lit creek. Check out the calendar below for more information about these events. The gathering starts at 6:00 p.m. at 15th and Arapahoe Streets where you can get a hot beverage and purchase a candle for 50 cents. Bundle up and join the fun! You’ll be glad you did.
If you prefer something indoors, you can head over to the American Mountaineering Center for the Backcountry Film Festival and travel around the globe from your comfy seat in the Foss Auditorium. The 90-minute program starts at 7:00 p.m.
