Tonight’s Options: Movies or Murder

The City Council Candidate’s Forum is available for viewing through the City’s website. The county will be mailing ballots on October 12th. You’ll be able to mail back your ballot or drop it in a ballot box at the county building (3500 Illinois St.) or City Hall (911 10th St.).


The Colorado School of Public Health will conduct a focus group on “Wellbeing in Golden” at 2:30 this afternoon at the Golden Library. They are conducting this study on behalf of the City, and they want participants to spend one hour discussing “What supports your wellbeing?” and “What may need to change in Golden to support your wellbeing?” If you are a resident of Golden, aged 18 or older, they would welcome your participation.


The Railroad Museum hosts “Colorado Rails and Cocktails” tonight, featuring a film by Richard Luckin, Dome Car Magic. If you haven’t get purchased tickets for this event, you’re in luck! They’re offering a last-minute discount of $5 off per ticket, using this link!


Radical Reels is still on at the Mountaineering Center. The doors open at 6:15, music starts at 6:20, and the hair-raising films begin at 7. The same films are shown each of the three nights, so if you can’t catch it tonight, you’ll have once more chance tomorrow night.


Colorado Haunted History is leading one of their Murder, Mayhem, and Madness tours tonight at 7:30, starting at the Visitors Center (10th and Washington).


Tomorrow morning (Saturday the 10th), the Quilt Museum will offer one of their Make and Take Classes: Smitten with Mittens. Up-cycle wool and fleece and make your own warm mittens. Minimal sewing required. Sewing machine provided. $30 includes all supplies. Call the museum (303-277-0377) to register.
