The Golden Urban Renewal Authority board will meet at 5:30 tonight at Natural Grocers (map), for a walking tour of the Central Neighborhoods urban renewal area.
Tuesday night, the Economic Development Commission (EdComm) will meet at 6:30 in the Public Works Building at 1445 10th Street. They will have a panel discussion regarding partnerships in support of EdComm’s “Golden Innovates” work plan. Participants will include Werner Kuhr (CSM Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Liz Cox (Red Rocks Community College Director of the Idea Institute) and Bud Rockhill (Traxion). Learn more….
There will be a community open house on Wednesday, March 14th from 4:30-7PM at the Community Center. The Golden Investment Task Forum will be seeking community input on which projects from our “wish list” we want to spend money on, whether we should take on more debt in order to spend the money, and additional ideas for generating revenue. If you plan to be in Golden for a while, you should attend, and weigh in on how the city will spend your money.
There will be a neighborhood meeting on Thursday March 15th at 5:30 to discuss the proposed four story, 107-unit apartment building across from Safeway. The meeting will be in the CSM office building at 1600 Jackson Street.
