This Saturday morning (August 12th) will be Dash at the Splash, the City’s kids’ triathlon at The Splash Aquatic Park. The event is open to children twelve years of age and under. Children are broken down into age groups of 8 and under, 9 to 10 year olds, and 11 to 12 year olds. The age categories determine the distances in each event – Swimming, Biking and Running. Bags can be picked up on Saturday, August 12th at race check-in between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. Space is limited; registration is first come, first serve.
Tomorrow (Weds Aug 9th) the Library is having a Dinosaur Discovery program for kids from 3-4. You can be the paleontologist and unearth dinosaur fossils, hatch dinosaur eggs, and create your own dinosaur tracks. Learn about the dinosaurs who once walked where we live today and explore real fossils from Dinosaur Ridge. Registration required at the library, online at jeffcolibrary.org, or 303-235-5275. On Friday the 11th, from 12-3, the Library will be set up to help kids personalize their school supplies. Get your supplies ready to go back to school by personalizing them using our Silhouette machine to design your own vinyl labels.Sewing machines are also available for any hemming or clothing adjustments. Please bring your own school supplies, such as water bottle, binder, lunch box, pencil box or anything with a smooth plastic surface. Suitable for: All Ages
