Things to Do in Golden–With or Without Visitors

If you have friends and family visiting, take them to some of Golden’s interesting places.

Museums
Our museums are all open today: Mountaineering Museum, Buffalo Bill Museum, Railroad Museum, Golden History Park, CSM Geology Museum, Dinosaur Ridge, Foothills Art Center, Golden History Museum, and the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum.

Trails
A walk along Clear Creek is always nice, but we also have 20 other trails (covering 24 miles) in Golden, and of course we’re surrounded by Open Space. Have you ever visited the Lookout Mountain Nature Center? It’s a beautiful building, and it sits on 124 acres of land with several trails.

Restaurants, Breweries, and Distilleries
We have lots of interesting restaurants–the Sherpa House, multiple sushi restaurants, lots of Mexican places, a couple of smokehouse restaurants, great pizza, Thai, Italian, Lebanese…check out the restaurant list on our dining page.

Our half dozen craft breweries are pleasant, congenial places to visit, and we have three distilleries with tasting rooms.

Live Music
Old Capitol Grill & Smokehouse – Wintery Wednesdays Concert Series, 6-9PM
Rock Rest Lodge – Dave Frisk, 6PM

Have fun, and enjoy our delightful town–with or without visitors.
