Memorial Day
7-8AM The Honor Guard from Golden VFW Post 4171 will raise the flags in the Golden cemetery.
11AM The VFW will hold a ceremony in the cemetery to honor those who died in active military service.
2PM The Marine Corps Memorial will host a service that includes color guard, bag pips, a flyover, guest speaker, taps, rifle salute, and recognitions. What you’ll need: bring your own chairs if you are unable to stand for more than 30 minutes without assistance. We don’t always have chairs available. Parking for this event is generously offered by the Home Depot in the shopping area south of the Memorial.
Heritage Amusement Park is open from 10AM-6PM. They have rides, bumper boats, paddle boats, go karts for adults and children, miniature golf courses, an arcade, and a zip line over the pond.
Live Music
New Terrain Brewing will host the Fireside Pickers tonight, starting at 6PM.

The moon will rise at 7:31PM this evening, and will reach its fullest point at 8:19AM tomorrow morning. Source

The first Golden Bike Cruise of the season is tomorrow night. The optional costume theme is Flintstones/Cavemen, so get your saber tooth tiger outfit ready.
