The Christmas parade starts at 11 on Washington Avenue, downtown Golden.  While you’re down there, check out the store window displays.  They had a contest for best display this year, so the windows are extra-festive.

The Golden History Museum is holding an open house and pottery sale today.  This is a good opportunity to see their exhibits on a free admission day, and of course you may find some pottery that would make a good gift.

The Lookout Mountain Nature Center is hosting “Nature’s Gifts” from 10-12.  They’ll be offering crafts geared for ages 2-8, though all ages are welcome.  The suggested donation is $3/child.

Saoirse Charis-Graves is holding her monthly “Coffee with a  Councilor” this morning at Bean Fosters (720 Golden Ridge Road) from 10-11.  She invites her constituents to stop by with any questions or concerns they have regarding Golden.

Foothills Art Center is offering a Holiday Card Creation Station today from 11-1.  You are invited to use their materials to create holiday cards for your friends and family.  While you’re there, be sure to check out the Holiday Art Market.

The What the Dickens? Victorian Carolers will be strolling the Avenue from 11:30-1:30.  Free horse-drawn carriage rides will be available from 12-4, and Newfoundland Dog Cart rides (for small children) will run from 12-3.  Barb Warden will signing her book, Olde Golden Christmas, from 12-2 at Baby Doe’s Clothing.  Santa Claus will be at Avenue Gifts, so bring the kids for a visit and a  photo.

The Golden Concert Choir has their holiday concert this evening at 7:30, in the Golden High School auditorium (701 24th St.).
