The 4th of July festival in Lions Park was fun, even without fireworks. The bands, the food, the beer, and the prizes were all good.
Tonight is the First Friday Street Fair on Washington Avenue between 12th & 13th, from 5-9. Several local restaurants will be serving $4 “tastes,” including the Buffalo Rose, Dagotto’s Panini Bistro, Toned Bones Active Lifestyle Eatery, and Tin Star Smokehouse. $4 glasses of MillerCoors beers will also be available. Entertainment will include a live band, free carriage rides, a magician, and face-painting for the kids. The downtown merchants will stay open late, and will be offering special deals and promotions.
