If you’ve been around Golden for more than a couple of years, you probably remember the carriage rides that were available at so many of our special events. Well good news–there’s a new carriage company in town: Clear Creek Carriage Company!
As it happens, Golden.com has an “in” with this company–my daughter owns it. Head downtown today between noon and 3PM and enjoy a free carriage ride. You can board the carriage on 12th Street, just west of Washington Avenue.
Colorado Gives Day is this Tuesday, December 6th.
This is the ideal day to support non-profit organizations, because the Community First Foundation adds to each donation out of their Community Incentive Fund. Most of Golden’s non-profits are signed up for this program–the Quilt Museum, the History Museum, Foothills Art Center, the Golden schools’ PTAs, the Golden Schools Foundation, the Golden Civic Foundation, Foothills Animal Shelter, Golden Landmarks, the Christian Action Guild, Golden Backpack Program, Golden Visitors Center, Community Faith in Action (Be a Tool), the Jefferson Symphony…and lots more. Check the Colorado Gives website to look for your favorite non-profit.
