Every year, the Mount Lookout Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invites a popular author to town and hosts a tea to help celebrate the event. Their 63rd Annual Tea and Silent Auction will be this Saturday at 1PM, at the First United Methodist Church (1500 Ford Street). This year’s author is Christine Jorgensen, who has written a number of fun, hair-raising murder mysteries. The public is warmly invited to attend the tea and enjoy hearing what Ms. Jorgensen has to say about her newest book, Missing. Tickets are available for $15 in advance, or $20 at the door.
