FLORENCE, Ala. – Colorado School of Mines quarterback Justin Dvorak has won the 2016 Harlon Hill Trophy as the best player in NCAA Division II football.
Dvorak earned 185 points on 95 ballots, including 48 first-place votes, to win. Northwest Missouri State quarterback Kyle Zimmerman was second with 113 points, and North Alabama quarterback Jacob Tucker third with 86. Dvorak will be presented with the trophy on Jan. 6 at a ceremony on the campus of the University of Northern Alabama, Hill’s alma mater… Read more…

The unlikely climb of Colorado, which will play for the Pac-12 South Division title Saturday in Boulder against Utah, has highlighted an impressive fall of college football on the Front Range.
CU, Colorado State, Wyoming and Air Force will play in bowl games this season. It’s the first time since 1990 and only the second time ever that all four of the programs will play in the postseason.

The Homecoming Parade for Golden High School will go down Washington Avenue at 5PM today. The parade starts at 18th Street and turn off Washington onto 12th Street. The football game starts at 7, and will be played in our fabulous new Marv Kay Stadium!

The Mines Homecoming Parade will be tomorrow morning from 9-10. It will run through the campus, from the new welcome center to the Q-Lot. The parade will be followed by a BYOB tailgate party from 10-12 in Q-Lot. The football game starts at noon.
