Sustainability Board and the History Museum

The Sustainability Board meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers.  They will discuss their projects for the coming year, which include a roll-out of “smart” water meters, encouraging zero waste practices at city events, and implementation of the pay-as-you-throw ordinance.

The Golden History Center is in the process of rebranding their gift shop.  They plan to focus more on printed materials, including books, maps, art, and prints of historic photographs.  They are inviting the community to help name the new store.  Please send your suggestions to Shelly Bleckley, Visitor Services Coordinator, at  Learn more about this project on the museum’s blog.
