There’s a lot going on in town today.
- The Colorado Mountain Club is celebrating its 100th birthday at the Mountaineering Center (710 10th St.). They’ll have an exhibit hall and special programs that include Mark Obmascik (former Denver Post reporter), historian Tom Noel, and landscape photographer John Fielder. The exhibit hall opens at noon and the programs begin at 4.
- The VFW is holding a spaghetti dinner from 6-8 to raise money for cancer research and to help veterans with cancer.
- The Table Mountain Inn is hosting a murder mystery dinner, starting at 6:30.
- The Golden Gate Grange is holding a Valentine’s Prohibition Dance, with swing dancing in a roaring 20s setting, starting at 8. By all accounts, there were plenty of moonshiners in those hills during Prohibition!
See the details of these and many other events in the calendar below.
And now for something completely different….
A friend wants to find a new owner for a family heirloom–a player piano. It’s beautifully refinished, but the “player” part isn’t working. It’s free to a good home! If that sounds like something you’d like to take on, please contact Mary Block at 720-530-0124.
