The Quilt Museum (1213 Washington Avenue) is starting their fall “Sunday at the Museum” series today with Making Batik in Bali with Megan Woodard.

Ever wondered how batiks are made? Batik is an art form of hand-dye techniques practiced in many parts of the world. Megan Woodard will share how a family-run factory in Bali hand-stamps and hand-dyes batiks for The Batik Butik using a centuries-old wax resist technique. Attention crazy quilters~Rayon batik fat quarters will be available for purchase!

The museum opens at 11 today, and the program is at 2.  $10 includes museum admission, refreshments, and the lecture.  Museum members are admitted free.
