Come downtown tonight for the First Friday Street Fair. Washington Avenue will be closed off from 12th – 13th Streets, and there will be live music and entertainment. Local restaurants will be selling “tastes,” and the Chamber will be serving beer, provided by MillerCoors. The Street Fair runs from 5-9. Circlin’ the Drain will be playing.
Tomorrow, the Railroad Museum will offer the perfect 4th of July experience:
July marks America’s 239th birthday. We’ll commemorate this history by recreating famous whistle-stop campaign speeches, performed by professional actors on the platform of a vintage passenger coach. Hear the echoes of Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln and others as we recreate their campaign speeches on the railroad. Catch a ride behind one of the Museum’s steam or diesel locomotives in passenger cars from different eras in Colorado railroad history or on the uniquely Colorado Galloping Goose. Rides operate 10:00AM to 4:00PM. The Presidents will speak at 11, 12, and 1.
