Come downtown tonight for the First Friday Street Fair (first one of the year)! We’ll have food vendors, live music, entertainers, Coors beer, and free horse-drawn carriage rides. The stores will stay open extra-late, and many will be running specials. Baby Doe’s is hosting a fund-raiser, where 10% of their day’s proceeds will go to support Red Cross relief efforts for the Oklahoma tornado victims. If you don’t own Guidebook to Golden Colorado or Funiculars of Golden Colorado, come buy them at Baby Doe’s tonight. The author (Barb Warden) will be on hand between 5:30 and 7:30 to sign copies! $5 from each Guidebook will go to the Red Cross. The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum will stay open late, so visit them and see their latest exhibit, “Machine Artistry.”
