July Overview: I usually start the month with an overview of events. This weekend is so busy that I’m delaying the overview till next week. The overview of Library events will be posted on Tuesday, July 5th, and the overview of everything else will appear on Wednesday, July 6th. Have a great holiday weekend!
Tonight’s Golden Street Fair runs from 5-9 on Washington Avenue, between 11th and 13th Streets. Buckstein will be playing Country-Western music, and there will be a street dance for those so inclined. There will also be corn toss, bubbles, face painting, and XL Jenga, as well as food vendors, beer, and wine. Round up the neighbors and bring them downtown!
Tomorrow morning, the indefatigable Saoirse Charis-Graves will have Coffee with a Councilor at Beans Foster, from 10-11. Her special guests will be Police Chief Kilpatrick and Sergeant Williams, who will talk about safety and traffic-related issues.
