It’s hard to imagine a safer place than Golden Colorado to raise children, but a little extra precaution never hurts. The Community Center is offering a free Stranger Awareness Workshop tonight (Monday) at 6.
This is a good introductory and refresher course for kids typically from ages 3 – 12. It will cover a broad range of topics including: defining a “Stranger,” “Lures,” Role Playing, distancing, what to yell, “Going Bananas,” “Code Words” and communication. The key is to educate your children enough so they will be able to react in a dangerous situation. This workshop is free.
